Nero Nero - Penang

We found this Italian restaurant through Google and arrived close to their 3 PM closing time. The staff still greeted us warmly, but since they were already preparing to close and we were the last ones there, we felt a bit rushed. We only ordered a few dishes—pasta and pizza,which were really delicious! Prices were reasonable and portions great for sharing. We brought some takeout home, and even my mother-in-law and my kid who didn’t join us loved it. If you’re nearby, this place is definitely worth trying but go early so you have time to enjoy the full menu and relax . The food and service are both excellent.

Fantastic Italian food; great place to celebrate my father’s birthday .. A big shout out to the great service from the staff . They gave me a small blanket to cover myself as I got drenched outside due to rain , decorate the tiramisu with Happy Birthday wording and candle and they were so attentive to our needs during the whole course .

We ordered pizza and it was incredible. The crust was crispy and chewy at the same time with fantastic flavors. The best Italian food I’ve had in Penang. The atmosphere, and interior of the restaurant were very elegant. Service was outstanding and all inside of a historic building that was constructed in the 1800’s. I would recommend for special occasions or a date night with your special someone.

The ambiance, food and the service was amazing! Our server was Inder, he made us really feel welcome and his service was great! I wasn’t expecting such Italian experience here in George town but it was really like in Italy! Special thanks to Inder and the chef(s), place to never forget! I Would totally recommend this place to friends and family!

Nero Nero Cafe offers a charming and cozy environment with decor inspired by Western aesthetics. Perfect for a relaxing meal or casual date. The service was excellent. The staff were professional, attentive, and happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences, which made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. We particularly enjoyed the angel hair spaghetti—it was cooked al dente, just the right texture. The calzone pizza was generously filled, and every bite was rich and satisfying. A great spot for intimate conversations, dates, or simply to unwind over good food. Highly recommended!

The crew is very professional, well dressed and respectful. All that already gave good impression of the dining experiences itself. The food is very good, authentic, unique although the price is really expensive. This is not something you eat/had every days. For me, I come for occasional only to celebrate Christmas. The food portion is about right and the taste is quite strong, not something you eat until full. Overall, I’m really satisfied with my dine-in experience and will be coming back in the nearby future.
